Alliance with CONPEHT

Mandarin Centers Institute and CONPEHT (Confederación Panamericana de Escuelas de Hotelería y Gastronomía y Turismo) have recently sealed an Alliance by signing a Macro Agreement for the implementation of training programs in Chinese language and training in the field of Chinese tourism for its 123 affiliated Universities.
The Pan-American Confederation of Schools of Hotel Management, Gastronomy and Tourism CONPEHT, is a Civil Association of tourism knowledge entities, founded in Mexico in 1991 with the participation of academic institutions from the countries of the American and European continent. CONPEHT’s mission is to contribute to the improvement and professionalization of national, regional and international tourism activities through the joint academic work of its member institutions from the countries of the American Continent. The Pan-American Confederation of Schools of Hospitality, Gastronomy and Tourism (CONPEHT), the only entity that brings together the Schools and Faculties of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy of the American Continent and Spain, will consolidate the experience of the main actors of its conformation (students and teachers) to be an academic, professional and social reference. Through this collaboration agreement between both institutions, which is projected for the three-year period 2023-2026, training programs in Chinese tourism will be designed and established to maximize the level of professionalization and internationalization of the educational institutions linked to CONPEHT, allowing its members and associates to have the knowledge and tools necessary to understand the needs of the different profiles of Chinese tourists and to be able to adapt the offer of their respective tourist destinations to their tastes and preferences.
Training future professionals in the tourism sector in tourism and Chinese language skills will enable Latin America’s tourism offerings to be positioned in China in the short term, helping to increase the flow of visitors to the different countries.
The signing of the Macro Agreement was made official on October 27th during the XXI Annual Convention of CONPEHT that took place in the city of Cuenca (Ecuador). Both institutions were represented by Mrs. María del Carmen Morfín, President of CONPEHT and Carlos Chan, CEO of Mandarin Centers Institute.
