Numerous students have expressed interest in this Mandarin Chinese course, which was sold out during the first few days of the registration period.
This course expands the already extensive language training program offered by the Language Lab of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and consolidates the Institution’s clear commitment and vocation for internationalization.
The course is held every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Chile) and has a duration of 40 teaching hours. The course is scheduled to end on February 26, 2022.
The teaching modality is virtual and face-to-face through the Virtual Classroom of Mandarin Centers Institute. Ms. Qi Wang is in this case the teacher in charge of this program, who like the rest of the teachers who make up the faculty, in addition to being certified to teach Chinese as a foreign language, has extensive experience in teaching Chinese to Spanish speakers.
The Encounters program, based on a film-quality drama series filmed entirely in China, is a program developed jointly by the Chinese publishing house Sinolingua and Yale University.
The program comprises 5 chapters fully integrated with the drama series and other components such as exercises and activities to enable students to improve their communication skills in context. The book adheres to the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) Proficiency Guidelines and focuses on communication in the spoken language.
At the end of the course, students will be able to pass the official Chinese HSK1 exam, equivalent to level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Mandarin Centers is an Official Testing Center for the HSK exams and all of its training programs follow the curriculum designed by the Confucius Institute.
