Mandarin Centers Institute arrives in Costa Rica with the help of UNED

Mandarin Centers Institute and the Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica (UNED) have just formalized a collaboration agreement through which both institutions commit to disseminate and promote the teaching of Mandarin Chinese among UNED students. The Universidad Estatal a Distancia is a public institution of higher education founded in 1977, under the government of President Daniel Oduber Quirós.
Today, with a history of more than four decades, a network of thirty-seven university campuses throughout the country, undergraduate and graduate programs, extension and research, and an intensive use of information and communication technologies in its pedagogical model, UNED is positioned as a regional leader in distance education. The Higher Education Institution has four schools offering a total of 39 undergraduate degrees and the Graduate Studies System, with 26 graduate programs. Some programs are accredited through the National System of Higher Education Accreditation. It is considered one of the five best universities in Costa Rica. By signing this agreement, all UNED students will have at their disposal a wide range of Mandarin Chinese training programs linked to the official Chinese HSK levels. UNED is the first training partner of Mandarin Centers Institute in Costa Rica, being the first center with which it starts operations in the country. In this way, the institution specialized exclusively in the teaching of Mandarin Chinese reinforces its expansion in Latin America and its firm commitment to democratize the teaching of the language in the region. In addition to the training programs linked to the teaching of the language, the agreement foresees the incorporation in successive phases of other programs focused on improving the professional training of its students in the fields of business, protocol and tourism.
